The Chocolate Hills Amateur Radio League, Inc. celebrated with 33rd Anniversary with an Induction and Oath-taking of New Officers and Members for Calendar Year 2019 last February 2, 2019 at Reyna’s the Haven & Gardens, Bruñidor St. (formerly New Calceta St.), Tagbilaran City, with the theme: “Strength and Resilience Amidst the Challenges in Ham Radio“.
PARA District 7 Director, Ador Lamoste (DU7AL), administered the oath to the new set of Officers for 2019 led by Club President, Lawrence Medilo (DU7LEN). In his speech, representing PARA, he expressed his support to CHARL in all its activities and gave inspiration to the officers and members to continue with serving the community thru ham radio.
Tagbilaran City Mayor, John Geesnell L. Yap II, meanwhile, administered the oath to the Chairpersons and Members of the Standing Committees, while Immediate Past President, Gerisse Marie Marmito (DU7GMM), administered the oath to the new members. In his speech, Mayor Yap expressed his support to CHARL and its activities.
Together with Mayor Yap are the other inductees as Honorary Members: Provincial Fire Marshal, F/CInsp. Randy Mendaros (represented by F/Insp. Serbando Jumawid Jr.); City Fire Marshal, F/SInsp. Marlyn Macatangay (represented by SFO1 Victor Blancas); City Chief of Police, P/Supt. Christopher Navida (represented by SPO4 Rolando Binangbang); PCG Station Commander, LCDR Erikzon Laza; and Keith Cantoneros of the Phil. Red Cross – Bohol Chapter.
