CHARL celebrates 33rd Anniversary
The Chocolate Hills Amateur Radio League, Inc. celebrated with 33rd Anniversary with an Induction and Oath-taking of New Officers and Members for Calendar Year 2019 last February 2, 2019 at Reyna's the Haven & Gardens, Bruñidor St. (formerly New Calceta St.), Tagbilaran City, with the theme: "Strength and Resilience Amidst the Challenges in Ham Radio".
PARA District 7 Director, Ador Lamoste (DU7AL), administered the oath to the new set of Officers for 2019 led by Club President, Lawrence Medilo (DU7LEN). In his speech, representing PARA, he expressed his support to CHARL in all its activities and gave inspiration to the officers and members to continue with serving the community thru ham radio.

The Board of Trustees of the Chocolate Hills Amateur Radio League, Inc. (CHARL) elected their Officers for Calendar Year 2019 during the Board Meeting held last January 17, 2019 at the Udtohan Residence, Sen. Aquino Jr. Ave., Tagbilaran City.

CHARL holds General Membership Meeting & Christmas Party
CHARL's Annual General Membership Meeting, Election of Trustees and Christmas Party was recently held last December 2, 2018 at the Udtohan Residence, Sen. Aquino Jr. Ave., Tagbilaran City.
The activity started with the meeting wherein Engr. Gerisses Marie Marmito (DU7GMM) reported on the Club's activities for the calendar year 2018. Club Treasurer, Kim Denno Cirujales (DV7BMY), reported on the financial status of the club.
It was followed by the elections for the four (4) seats in the Board of Trustees vice Monico H. Sayon (DW7BMX), Michael P. Madria (DW7BMN), Kim Denno C. Cirujales (DV7BMY) and Laica Mae M. Lamoste (DV7BLE), whose term will end on December 31, 2018.

CHARL participates in the 2018 JOTA-JOTI
CHARL participated in the 61st Jamboree-on-the-Air (JOTA) and 22nd Jamboree-on-the-Internet (JOTI) on October 20-21, 2018, organized by the Boy Scout of the Philippines (BSP) and PARA. CHARL put up a station on top of Mt. Banat-i, Bool, Tagbilaran City.
The CHARL delegation was headed by its President, Engr. Gerisse Marie Marmito (DU7GMM). Boy Scouts from all over Bohol were there to participate, headed by BSP-Bohol Council Scout Executive Hermes T. Angoy.

CHARL members complete Red Cross SFA-BLS Training
Nine (9) CHARL members completed the 4-day Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support Training held at the PRC Bohol Chapter HQ, Marapao Street, Tagbilaran City, Bohol, last September 20-23, 2018. It was sponsored by the Philippines Red Cross-Bohol Chapter.

CHARL joins in the 2018 Alay Lakad
CHARL provided radio communications during the 2018 Alay Lakad held on September 9, 2018 in Tagbilaran City. This year's chairman of the Alay Lakad Executive Committee is the CHARL President, Engr. Gerisse Marie Marmito (DU7GMM).
The annual Alay Lakad is aimed at generating donations for the benefit of out-of-school youths and scholarships to poor but deserving students.
CHARL members participate in Basic ICS Training in Cebu City
CHARL members participated in the 3-day Basic Incident Command System Training Course on August 1-3, 2018 held at the OneCentral Hotel in Cebu City, which was organized by the NDRRMC and the Office of Civil Defense, Region 7.
The Club sent four delegates led by Alex Cuñado (DV7BMK), the club's Vice President for External Affairs. The other delegates are: the club's Chairman of the Ways & Means Committee, Ralph Bonita (DW7BLG); and two of the club's Net Controllers, Emelito Doroy (DY7BOD) and Olimpio Gulle II (DY7BTF).

CHARL provides communication during the 2018 Sandugo Streetdancing
CHARL Members provided radio communications to help ease the flow of the streetdancing parade during the 2018 Bohol Sandugo Kuradang Streetdancing Competition last July 28, 2018.
Together with CHARL are volunteers from our Valencia Chapter and ARCCO of Antequera.
